Week 14 & 15. Sorry I didn’t post last week, I didn’t
end up getting weighed. I was still feeling a little disheartened and I ended
up having quite a social week too so decided to take the pressure off and just
enjoy eating and drinking what I wanted for a few days, which I seriously did! But
I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost 2lbs, taking my weightloss to
16lbs. I’ve also decided to leave my group; it’s something I’ve been thinking
about for a little while. I don’t stay to my group sessions, I literally go to get
weighed then go home again which costs me £5 a week. I really love Slimming
World, and the groups are fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend them if you’re
starting your journey. When I first started a few years ago my group was my
support system and I couldn’t have done it without them, but after all this
time I just don’t feel like I need the group to reach my target. I get my support from the people who read
these blogs posts and my SW Instagram account. So weighing myself at home just
makes sense and I can change the day and time I do this. So from next week my
weekly weigh in will be on a Saturday morning with this post following shortly
afterwards.
On to what I've been eating in the past week. I’ve eaten
out a lot, probably too much actually but it’s been great and I’ve enjoyed
every mouthful! But my SW related meals have been some previous favourites such
as fish pie, beef & mushroom stroganoff and I made the SW spaghetti carbonara
which was amazing. I’ve also tried a couple of the SW Iceland meals but I’ll do
a separate post on then at a later date. Still having my usual fruit and yogurt
for breakfast but I’m getting a little bored of this now, so looking to change
it. Still really enjoying my quiche for lunch though!
Exercise. As well as eating naughty things I’ve slacked a
lot on exercise too, I haven’t done as much as I have been doing in previous
weeks. I keep missing my Pilates class on Sunday too as I’ve had l things going
on, although I did manage to go to one on Monday morning as I had the day off
(still aching from btw!) But I’m starting to really miss it and feeling guilty
for missing so much. I feel like I’ve come a long way and I don’t want to lose
all of my progress through laziness.
I have a wedding this weekend so that’s completely off,
and I’m away at my parents next weekend but apart from that I don’t have
anything on until my works Christmas night on the 18th December. So
i’m going to be on this 100%, I have a target in my mind for Christmas and I’m
going to bloomin’ reach it, even if it kills me! (I joke!)
Favourite meal last
week? Spagehtti carbonara without a doubt!
Learnt anything
new? Group just isn’t for me.

Aims for this week? Attend my body sculpt class on Monday
evening and run at least 3 times.
Any new dishes to try? I’ll
be trying another couple of SW Iceland meals. Need to make those brownies too
but that’ll probably be a job for next weekend.

I joined Slimming World in January and I've lost just over 3 stone now, with just half a stone to my target. I totally get what you mean by the groups. I'm deciding whether to carry on going to get weighed as I'm basically paying to be weighed. And, I don't feel like I need to go to group to stay on plan, as I'm motivated enough. I'm yet to add in any type of excerise, apart from dog walking. So, thats my next aim!
ReplyDeleteCongratualtions on your weight lost so far!! You've inspired me to try some new recipes! xo

Congratulations on the amount you've lost so far! I think it's better to weigh yourself at home, you have a good night's sleep the night before you go weighed in, plus weigh yourself on an empty stomach showing what you really lost x
ReplyDeleteYou've done so well. I love seeing what other people eat on SW and what meals they recommend.
ReplyDeleteI left my SW group a few months ago as I was happy with the weight I was at and begrudged paying £5 to just be weighed, I did used to stay to group but having 3 kids with me at group wasn't ideal. Since leaving I have gained a good 7lbs. So I've decided now is the time to start it properly again (doing it at home not group) and love your SW updates you inspire me to get my SW mojo back!
