Last Sunday I was lucky enough to go on a jazz boat cruise along the river Thames in London. It was a total surprise and totally unexpected but it was so lovely and I really enjoyed the whole experience. We had a 3 course meal whilst a jazz band played live in the background, the whole trip lasted about 3 hours and we saw loads of the famous London sites. It was so nice to do something totally different and if you ever get a chance to do it I totally recommend it!

Lookbook | Chictopia
Bag: eBay | Shirt: Primark | Jeggins: Vero Moda |
Bracelet: Accessorize

It feels like forever since I last did an outfit post, I did have a plan to do one the weekend and do a Fridays face but due to me being a total mess on Friday morning thanks to my ‘oh I’ll be fine, pour me another’ attitude I had the night before I really wasn’t in a fit state. How I managed to make it down to London I’ll never know, I think I deserve an award or something! I did have a fab weekend though, I have a whole post dedicated to what I got up to so I’ll be posting that sometime this week. It’s very photo heavy so I thought I’d wait a while before posting!

I’m currently up in Newcastle (well, a little bit more north) staying with Matts Mum for the week. I’m considering this to me my summer holiday and it’s so lovely being around a ‘Mum’! Today we went to the Metro Centre and it was actually a really fun afternoon. I usually hate shopping places because It just bugs me because I can’t spend anything. I did however treat myself to a dress (with a little input from Matts Mummy – I love her!) and might have got a graduation contender! I’ll do a propa outfit pic next week when I’m back home but it’s going to be a lovely dress to own even if I don’t use it for graduation. It was from Jane Norman which is an absolute first for me! But £38 down to £19 I really couldn’t say no. It was the last one there too so I’m taking that as a sign!

I’m so tired today, I don’t know if it’s because I’m in a new place and relaxed* or whatever but I just want to sleep! I swear I’ve forgotten to mention loads of stuff too. I really need to start making lists!

120 palette - £12.99*

I’ve been lusting after one of these palettes for ages, it’s been on my ‘must buy soon list’ for a good few months now and after seeing it up close and in person thanks to my friend getting one, I knew my heart was set. Now I’m not going to say that this product is brand new and has never been seen before because that would be a blatant lie. This palette is EXACTLY the same as Coastal Scents, BHCostmetics and whoever else has ‘re branded’ the same palette(s). The only different with Blush Professional is their price and the fact they are UK based.

The best thing about this palette is the fact it’s true to colour, like I can’t even explain how acrruate these colours are to the photos. They have a good range of finishes from Matte, Satin, Shimmer and Frost so you have a choice.I’d love to hear if you have one of these palettes and what you think about it?! I’m currently debating about getting the warm palette now, it just looks so good! So If anyone could recommend that one that would be great!

Yesterday i went to York for the afternoon with my friend from back home. I really love York, it's just one of those places that just makes you feel happy and content and you could loose hours wondering around the cutest little shops down cobbled streets. If you ever want to find a gift for someone that's unique and 'pretty' then York really is the place to go. I was after a present for my cousin, and i found exactly what wanted in the second shop i visited and I'm over the moon. It was nice to go shopping somewhere other than the local high street, and it was even nicer going somewhere totally different. We stopped for ice cream (both opting for bubblegum) and had a really lovely lunch in a propa English pub (you know the ones that haven't been converted in to Wetherspoons!) We took a little de tour on the way back to the car and walked past Accessorize who were having a massive sale on. Accessorize is the kind of shop i never go in, not because i don't love everything, but because it's just so expensive for what it is. But with the sale i ended up spending £10 on some bracelets which would have come to nearly £40 if i had bought that at the original price now that is what i call a bargain! They're having a massive sale on their website too with up to 70% off so i seriously recommend you check them out, they have some lovely items on there at the mo!

So after spending some pennies i probably shouldn't have we took a nice chilled out walk back to the car park, that was until the skies opened and the rain just poured. I have never been in rain like it, and we couldn't stop because well there wasn't anywhere and after a few mins we were soaked through already. I mean we were that wet we dripping, it was like we'd had a shower and i was entering a wet t shirt competition! Check this for the lolz! It was highly amusing thinking about it now, not really at the time though!

If you ever get a chance to go to York you should, because it's so lovely you'll never want to leave!

Lookbook | Chictopia
Shoes: Primark | Bag: Unknown| Dress: Motel Rocks

A somewhat different look from my usual today, no i didn't wake up this morning and think i was in the 1950s, this look is actually for a competion run by Indola. I was given a selection of looks to try and recreate and 50s style was the one i choose, i planned it more around my amazing new dress more than anything but i think they've turned out ok?! If you want to see my outfit a little bigger just click the top pic. Their hair products are amazing, like i couldn't believe how good they were so I'll be doing a post about that in the next week, they smell incredible too which is always a bonus with hair products. I do love a reason to do my hair like this, i've always loved victory rolls and i've worn it like this a few times before. I'm starting to think i have issues with being in this era... first it was 1970s now it's the 1950s!

Got quite a busy week this week, my best friend from back home is coming to stay tomorrow night which I'm super excited for. I'm so looking forward to going out and having some drinks, being good and saving money is just so boring sometimes! We're also going to go to York for the day too, she's never been before and it's one of my favourite cities so any excuse to go back is fine by me. I'm going to be in London this weekend celebrating my cousins 30th birthday, it'll be the first time I'll be meeting her brand new baby daughter too and this makes me so excited! There's something planned for Sunday as a 'well done' for finishing uni but i have no idea what that is, I'm looking forward to it none the less!

Speaking of my cus, she's after a really good Mulberry Alexa replica. Can any of you fashionistas hook me up?! I have found this little number, which i don't think is so bad, but if you could give me a heads up it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

I have some new exciting things coming to the shop soon (having a bit of a nightmare at the mo) so grab the last of the jewellery I'll be selling while you can. The 50% discount ('MUSTGO') will be in place until it's all gone.

I'm so loving the fact that the sun is shining today, i was starting to believe we had already hit Autumn with all this rain. I do have s feeling it'll be retuning in a blink of an eye though! Summer, what summer?!

’ I'm going on holiday to the south of France in a couple of weeks and although I'm not fat I feel so horrible in a bikini. I have really small boobs but I'm not stick thin and my stomach definitely isn't flat, and to top it off, i'm ridiculously pale what can i do to feel better rather than let my self consciousness ruin my holiday? ’

I understand totally where you’re coming from, getting in to a bikini would be my worst nightmare right now, but I wouldn’t let that ruin my holiday. The best thing to give yourself confidence is to find the right swimwear. There are loads available right now for all different shapes and sizes and pretty little dresses/smock shirts that can be worn over the top to give you some extra cover. I’ve tried to find you some garments which will give you shape, suppor and still be flattering. You'll also be showing off your fab curves too!

Enjoy your holiday! Try not to worry too much about how you look! You’re there to having fun and enjoy the sunshine!

Do you have a style related question? Please feel free to get in touch!
