#STAYDIFFERENT WITH MERCURE SHEFFIELD ST PAUL'S HOTEL AND SPA PT1

A couple of weeks ago I headed up to Sheffield to attend an event hosted by blogger babe Kavita from Shewearsfashion, I've not seen her for years so it was so nice to catch up! The event was hosted at Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel and Spa and it was all about exploring Sheffield and visiting places you probably wouldn't know where there, you can read about those in Tuesday's post. But for today, I'm talking about my lovely stay at Mercure, and with it's city center location it's a perfect place to use as a base for exploring.

GIN
Friday night = gin! We were treated to a gin bar before our 3 course dinner which was fabulous! I've never really been a massive gun drinker but I really enjoyed these drinks and it certainly introduced me to new flavours! The bottle of Sheffield Dry Gin we were gifted has been going down a right treat too! I've stayed at Mercure a couple of times now and the food is always great and this night was no exception, I certainly went to sleep happy and content!

BREAKFAST
Over the years I've stayed in a lot of hotels, but room service is never something I've done so when the opportunity came up to have breakfast in bed, well I jumped all over that idea! It was so lovely to eat my breakfast in my pjs and have a really relaxing couple of hours with my book and a bath. It was the perfect start to my day exploring, if only every Saturday started like this!

AFTERNOON TEA
After walking around Sheffield for a couple of hours and doing a spot of shopping we headed back to the hotel for afternoon tea. It was an absolute feast! I love a good afternoon tea and cor blimey, this was certainly up there with one of the best!

Thanks again to Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel and Spa for another lovely stay, I can't recommend the hotel enough as a place to relax and unwind and explore the city. Come back on Tuesday where I'll tell you a little bit on what Sheffield has to offer!

  1. This sounds like an amazing blogger trip - gin, breakfast in bed and afternoon tea! I think I need to plan a trip over to Sheffield to see what the Mercure is all about!

  2. Because you're different. Because your group, team, family or individual is different. I prefer to check this Earthworks wellington and learn more things about retaining walls. Because you want to stay different and make a difference, we'd like to introduce you to the Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel and Spa. We're different too in that we are near the city centre, but not quite in the very centre. We're different because of the wide range of facilities we have for conferences, meetings and social events.
