A couple of weeks ago an email popped in my inbox inviting me down to Cutting Room Creative in Leeds city center to try a treatment. As my works Christmas party was the week after i thought it would be nice to tie the two together and get my hair done for the night. I decided to try a blow dry as I've recently had my hair coloured and i wasn't keen on getting it chopped (despite it desperately needing it!). I'd never been to CCR before and i was pleasantly surprised to see how big it is. The salon covers two floors, with hair washing/colouring and the waiting rooms upstairs and the styling downstairs along with treatments. I really liked the modern feel of the place as there were computers and vending machines in the waiting room and then a separate waiting room whilst you're waiting for colour to develop where you can see make yourself drinks and just chill out on the sofas, i thought it was a really nice touch. The place really is big and was really busy when i went but it didn't feel rushed at all. I had my hair styled by Ashleigh who was the loveliest girl ever and she really make the experience so enjoyable. I wanted to have my hair in lose curls as i wouldn't then need to do anything with it once at my hotel and wanted to be able to leave it throughout the night which is exactly what she did. She used a lot of Keratase products on my hair, but it didn't feel like it as the next day as my hair was very easy to brush through and felt very soft. So Keratase products get the biggest thumbs up from me and i'm really interested in trying out some other products. Overall i had a really lovely time at the salon, there was a great atmosphere in there and they really look after you. I think the prices are very hair for a city center salon and i thoroughly recommend Cutting Room creative!

ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous Ashleigh really did a good job. Colour looks beautiful as well
ReplyDeleteSalon looks really nice, I prefer a salon with a bit of colour and character to it, rather than minimalist and cool. Just makes me feel more relaxed.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely salon. Like you mentioned, it looks very modern without being in your face girly girly.. :)
ReplyDeleteHair looks gorgeous. :)
My hairdresser seems to use a load of products on my hair and it always feels amazing, but only seems to last a day or until I wash my hair! I can never seem to replicate that 'out of the salon' feel/look.. :/
