A last minute trip to the park late yesterday afternoon ended up being a hang out with some amazing friends, getting rather drunk on cheap vodka and fruit juice, and having a cart-wheel-off. We were one of the last people there and left around half 9 to go to another friends house to continue the giggles.
I pretty much passed out not long after.
This is going to be an amazing summer.
I've spent the weekend with matty, being totally lazy and eating rubbish food.
In a few hours time, i'll have the house to myself until Thursday morning, i can't even explain how happy this makes me feel!
Im going to sit outside the back of my house with a book and not move all afternoon.
I wish the clouds would go away :(
Been a busy few days, went job hunting on Saturday. I'm not in desperate need of one, but it'd be nice to have something to do in the summer and get a bit of money i can spend on myself. Fingers crossed.
Been pretty much living at Matts, it's all his deadlines coming up and i've been helping with doing a presentation. It's all good, gets me out of the house.
My parents came up for the day yesterday, took me to do my Asda shop, which cost me a small fourtune, also went to ikea and i picked up some basic cushions, planning on making my covers this weekend.
Gotta go into uni this week and sort out my static show, i also brought a massive photo frame that im going to fill with insprirational images.
This afternoon i shall be making cakes, nom.
Boredem is getting to me so much that im searching through pages and pages on Ebay and weheartit, obsessing about making muffins/cupcakes and watching back to back episodes of SATC.
I really want to go to the cinema tonight, i can't justify how expensive it is though.
Job hunting tomorrow couldn't come quick enough.
Ok, so most of the tees/sweatshirts are different, maybe. But seriously, do people actually pay $108 (£75 ish)
for things like this?
It actually makes me feel sick.
I thought it was time i showed you something i've done at uni.
This is one of the 6 illustrations i did. These are also 2 of the garments i made.
I worked on it after with pencils and fine liners, using a mixture of CAD and traditional.
The print on the skirt is something i designed on photoshop and printed using screen printing with gold ink.
(click to see bigger image)On the crop top there is also this motif:
These are the flats of the outfit:
It's the fashion show in two weeks, will post pics of the whole collection then.
I hope you like!
For as long as i can remember i've had a real love for butterflies. I like them so much, 5 years ago i had two put on my back.
I can't even explain how much my life sucked this week.
I've done that much work i've managed to watch 4 seasons of SATC
I've been so stressed i've not been able to sleep and i've been a right moody cow.
However, it's all over. Kinda.
I ran out of time on Friday, the last minute bits ended up taking forever and therefore i didn't get stuff finished, i was gutted. I still am.
Im allowed to go in tomorrow and finish my skirt, which is really good but im so disappointed in myself for my lack of time management.
The marks i could loose could make all the difference.
I slept until lunch time yesterday, and woke up to a lovely cup of tea made by matty. We wanted a day doing something so we went into town and went to the Leeds musuem and gallery, it was realyl fun! We had lunch out and then had an Indian later that night.
I've well and truly thrown my room upside down this week, so that really needed sorting this morning. Also have a mountin of washing to do as i've not had time.
So that pretty much sums up my day.
Also, gotta put in a good few hours worth Vogue reading in.
Home was ace, as always. Meeting up with the family was good too.
Today i had the suprise of going to a reading of Jodi Picoults new book at Lincoln uni, something my parents had sorted only on Friday and didn't tell me about. It was a really good couple of hours and i was lucky enough to meet her and get my book signed.
Sorry i look rough, my mum assured me i didn't need make up where we were going.
I know im so delayed on the 30 thing, i'll do a massive blog when i have time.
Now i need to get through this week and i can beathe again.
So Thursday was hell, it didn't get any better either. My illustrations didn't print correctly so i had to add that to the list of things to do. I found it so hard to get to sleep i ended up going into uni a lot earlier to make a good start. Which i did, i totally pulled the day around and got EVERYTHING i had planned to get done by the end of the week done.
I came home yesterday, it had been booked for a while but it worked out to be really good timing. It was just the sewing embellishments that was left to do, and my Mum very kindly offered to help. Between us, it took around 9 hours to sew everything on, they are now complete. I now have a maxi dress, harem pants, long top, crop top and it's just a waist band i need to do on the skirt. I'm so pleased. Now it's just the other list i need to get through before Friday.
Before getting home, i found out my Leeds house got broken into on Friday night. I was at Matts so had no idea until i got back yesterday morning. It was thought that whoever the dick was who did it climbed through the bathroom window, but later conversations showed that the backdoor was left unlocked whilst about 7 people sat around in our living room, you would usually see someone going upstairs but my housemates can be oblivious and loud at the best of times so who knows. Luckily, nothing of mine was taken. I have a heavy door so they must of thought i was asleep as it was closed. Two other housemates had laptops, phones, camera and jewelry taken. So awful. Police were over yesterday to take finger prints, i highly doubt they'll catch who did it.
Today there's a big family meet up in Stoke. Quite looking forward to that, always nice to have a day out!
