EDEN HALL

Back in December you may remember I mentioned myself and Mumma P went to Eden Hall for the day as last years birthday celebrations for each other. It's the first time we'd been and we had such a fabulous time and said we'd certainly go back again in 2015. We weren't expecting to come back so soon, but when a lovely email popped in my inbox asking if we'd like to spend another day at Eden, we went back just over a month later. Bliss!

Luckily, Eden Hall is pretty local for us both. It's in Nottinghamshire so it's just a quick drive away. It opens from 9am until 8pm which is brilliant as when we first went i believe it closed around 6pm. So you have more time to relax that little bit longer. There's 4 types of packages to choose from, ranging from £89 to £159. You have full use of the facilities, such as swimming, saunas/steams, gym and lounges, a 3 course lunch is also included. When we first went we had Relaxing Rituals Day package which included a facial or back massage, the facial is incredible, i would highly recommend it! Check out the Eden Hall blog for more offers going on at the moment. This time when we went, i had the Fresh & Fabulous package with the treatment being a lava shell massage which was really nice too.

We got there for 9am of course, you're given a locker for the day which has a dressing gown and two towels. You need to bring your own footwear, flip flops are the typical choice. You don't need to worry about clothing because believe me you will be in your dressing gown alllll day! Even for lunch! We popped up to the big conservatory where the beauticians welcomed us in, here you could order breakfast (and other food throughout the day) and drinks, we decided to have a pot of tea whilst we decided what treatments to have. Mum went for a head massage and I added the facial to my day, I loved it so much last time i wanted another! You have an allocated lunch time slot which you're told when you arrive, as well as times of your treatments so you can plan your day around them. We decided to head to the pools and steam rooms first, that way we'd have chance to dry off before lunch and the treatments in the afternoon. Going in the hot tub in the middle of January was pretty surreal! After this we went on a little adventure and had a walk around the building. We came across the gym and fitness classes and promptly turned back around hehe! It's a good job we did because we found the Slumber Lounge which is a room full of beds, bean bags, relaxing music and low lighting. I'm not going to lie, I did have a little 20 minute nap in here. It was wonderful! Lunchtime soon came around and you can see from above the yummy food that was on offer! You can choose from meat, fish and vegetation dishes to soups, salads and potatoes. Whether you want to be be naughty or good, there's something for everyone.

When you have a treatment, you really feel like you're the most important person in the world. The girls are genuinely so nice, so happy to see you and nothing is too much for them. They really are a credit to Eden and the day wouldn't have been so enjoyable if it wasn't for them making you feel so relaxed the whole time! By this point is was coming up to early evening and it was soon time for us to go. But of course, there's always time for more tea and a slice of cake for Mum. It was really nice to watch the world go by whilst sitting on comfy sofas with fleece blankets, so many ladies had cheeky little naps in there too! I really can't stress to you just how relaxing the whole place is, you have all different types of woman (and men) there and you just feel so comfortable and not judged at all (we know what us girls are like!) it really was just so perfect. There were lots of mums & daughters, couples, hen parties and birthday groups!

We both have said the day was brilliant, just as enjoyable as the first and we're still planning on heading back in the summer. I can't recommend this place enough and with Valentines just around the corner it would make the perfect pressie!
