After not loving the MUA BB Cream (review here) I wasn't really sure where to go next, I wanted to try others but I didn't want to spend some pennies on something I would equally dislike. So I sent out a tweet asking if anyone could recommend one and I had a lot of replies saying the Maybelline one was really good. Luckily for me, the next day I noticed Superdrug had a 3 for 2 offer (which is on again now) so I saw that as a sign to pick it up amongst some other bits I didn't need, naturally.
I've been using this product for a few weeks now and I have to say I’m really impressed. It's so different from the MUA one and it's more how I imagined a BB cream to be. It's not as thick as a foundation and it blends beautifully with my beauty blender (review here). The only thing I’m having issues with is wear time, it's not as long lasting as I would like but I don't know if that's the product or simply me just not putting enough on so I notice it more. I've been really enjoying using this while I have a bit of colour as it makes me look like I have a really lovely natural tan with even skin tone. It leaves your skin feeling really hydrated too which is a massive bonus!
I am glad to have this in my collection and it's been reached for most days when I want subtle make up. I think it's worth the pennies but I would be interested in trying some other brands after i've used this one up.

I've been tempted by this but I didn't really get on with the mua or garnier ones. Thanks for this review, might be worth a go :)

I have seen reviews about this one where the cream appears to be really bright orange, is that right?!
ReplyDeleteso far I´m happy with the Garnier one and a bargain German drugstore variety.
Ooh I'll be trying this, I tried the Garnier one but found it really oily and it made me break out in spots so this sounds like it could be a good alternative.

I used the garnier one but wasn't too impressed, this one sounds loads better! x
ReplyDeleteWell the packaging is definitely my cup of tea ! It looks gorgeous ! The Missha BB Cream is also worth having a look at, I buy mine off of ebay, and its roughly around the same price !

Seriously, seriously, SERIOUSLY recommend the Skin79 Super+ BB Cream. It was a huuuge craze in Asia and there's now loads of sellers on eBay (no retailers in the UK stock it unfortunately) - Just be careful for fakes! It's an amazing BB cream though, on my third bottle and would never consider changing creams because this one does the job!

How is the coverage? I have the garnier one, which I like to use on lazy makeup days, but the coverage is not so good, even with a concealer... Xo
ReplyDeleteI love this and I have no issues when I apply over my Revlon primer in wear terms! xx
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Garnier BB cream? I've heard great reviews but when I tried a sample at the store it was SUPER thick. This one sounds much nicer.
ReplyDeletei use the garnier bb cream and i love it! may give this one a go too.

I have this too! It's great for days when you don't want to be wearing heavy foundation & want even-looking skin. I found it does get a bit greasy throughout the day but my skin always does, can easily be solved with powder.
ReplyDeleteOoh I may have to look into getting this one when my current one runs out - I splurged on the Estee Lauder BB cream and swear by it but it's a bit too expensive to buy regularly :(
