Beauty Blender - £1.98
You may have already heard about the beauty blenders but for those of you who haven't, a beauty blender is a sponge make up applicator mainly used to apply foundation. It's basically a substitute for brushes or your fingers and aims to leave your foundation buffed in without any lines or marks. I'm not sure if I'm actually allowed to call this sponge a beauty blender because it's not actually from them, it's from eBay but you get the idea. Now I'm not saying this £2 version is comparable to the £15 'official' one because it probably isn't but this little sponge is actually the best thing I've ever used to apply my foundation, i simply love it. I find i use a lot less product using this and it leaves my skin looking a lot more dewy and not as caked on as i sometimes find with brushes. It bounce on the skin beautifully and leaves me with an all over natural finish, not bad for a £2 sponge hey?
*I changed the link to the seller as the other one had put the price up to £50!

I bought the exact same one & I hate it haha! It absorbs all of my foundation so I end up looking all patchy. I'd be interested to know how you use it... I might be doing it completley wrong! x x
ReplyDeleteLovely post!!
ReplyDeleteIt would be amazing if you showed us how to use it, it looks really helpful! Might purchase soon.

ReplyDeleteI been thinking about the real BB but I'm just not sure about it. It's too pricey.

I worry with these that they will cake the make-up on. I always need something which applies naturally. Would love to read a review of this though :)

I've always wanted to try one of these. I'd like to see how you use it or the effect you get from this versus brushes? Maybe side by side comparison photos? x
ReplyDeleteI'm going to sound so weird, but, THE SONGE IS SO CUTE. Reminds me of Zingy (the little creature from the EDF Energy adverts). Ahaha! great review- I'd rather spend 2 pounds than 15! xx
ReplyDeletethis sounds great! ive been looking for something to use while my sigma f80 is drying, but the only thing i have it one of those paint-brush like foundation brushes and those make my foundation go so streaky!
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't really know how to use sponges. I had those flat round make sponges, but I never managed to get round to how to use them !
ReplyDeleteI have a Beauty Blender..but don't use it much. I just HAVE to clean it up right away..soon as I use it..and I don't usually have to the time to do that..so I just use a brush most times. Love the finish it gives, though!
ReplyDeleteI recently bought the Cosmopolitan blending sponge, it's pink and looks exactly like this one! I love it! Although I've got to ask, how do you clean it? I tried to use the normal method of shampoo and water but it doesn't seem to clean out the foundation completely? x

£2 is so much better than £15 especially if it's still a good quality sponge. So tempted to buy one! xo
ReplyDeleteI'd thought about buying one of these but didn't want to spend £15 on something I wasn't sure about, definitely gonna have a hunt on ebay for it now!

£2 is I think already better than £15. We could see the difference with that. :)

Completely agreeabout brushes, I recently decided I wanted to start using them, but the effect it gives is not for me! I like a much more natural look.
ReplyDelete£2 is bargainous, and I don't think you can go far wrong with it as it's only a sponge, at the end of the day! The more expensive one can't be all that different.
