Ever since Kylie Jenner claimed her now famous lips were purely down to lipsticks, liners and Instagram filters the whole beauty world went mad to try and recreate her perfectly nude pout. Fast forward a few months and even though it’s now claimed her lips were down to surgery, we still haven’t quite got over the obsession with them. You can even buy her lip collection which I’m sure you’re already well aware of as they’ve been selling like hot cakes! But if you can’t get your paws on the products, here’s some much cheaper ones from NYX which are actually pretty freakin’ awesome...
Corset is the lightest of the shades I picked up and it's probably the most 'natural' colour for me.
I didn't think I'd like Embellishment when I first saw it, but once applied and dried I think it's actually a really nice purple toned colour, this would be perfect for A/W.
Teddy is my least favourite. It's very chocolatey brown and I don't think it suits my skin tone at all. I probably won't wear this one again.
Honeymoon is a grey toned taupe colour which I'm absolutely in love with. It dried a little lighter than the packaging would have you believe and I'm glad it did! This is my fave out of the 4.
''Slip into something seductive with Lip Lingerie, our new weightless liquid lipstick with a plush matte finish. Available in a range of colour-kissed nudes—from cinnamon pink and chocolate brown, to warm mahogany red and classic nude beige—each sultry shade will coat the curves of your lips with irresistibly creamy colour''
Formula: They glide on relatively easy and dry very quickly to a matte finish. I did notice that the colour did change slightly one dried though. You can build on these products too, depending on the finished colour you want.
Overall wear: If you're wanting a product that doesn't budge and stays in place for hours then you these liquid lipsticks are for you. However, as you can imagine they can be quite drying because they're so matte. That doesn't bother me but for some I can imagine it being a problem so keep that in mind. It's worth noting they're an absolute ball ache to take off too, a baby wipe just won't cut it i'm afraid!
I think these liquid lipsticks are amazing, I'm so impressed with them and I'll certainly be purchasing more from the collection.
Which one is your favourite?
