PRODUCT REVIEW - MEMEME INDULGENCE SET

£29.99

A couple of months ago i was sent a make up set to review from a website called Find Me A Gift. It's a fantastic website for those looking to find a gift for him or her, ranging from romantic to funny with affordable price ranges for all types of occasions. So when they contacted me again asking if i would like to review something from their Valentines range i was only too happy to oblige. I received the 'Pure Indulgence' box which comes with a moisturiser, hand cream, nail polish/file, bath oil, a loofah and a scented candle. This is a lovely packaged product and is in keeping with the MeMeMe theme (I'm a sucker for nice packaging) This box will be perfect for storage, just like the other one which for me is a nice bonus!

'INNOCENT' NATURAL IVORY NAIL GLOSS 12ML
This is such a beautiful nude colour with a tiny hint of pink in certain lights. One coat gives your nails a natural looking shine without any signs of there being polish on your nails. It can be built upon for a more creamy look and i think it would be perfect for french tips. It's totally matte too, so there's no shimmer or glitter specs. I have this colour on my nails at the moment and so far it's pretty long lasting and i see myself reaching for it a lot.

SEVENTH HEAVEN FACE BASE 30ML
I've actually been lucky enough to have tried this product before, there was a sample size pot in one of the recent Glossyboxes and I've been using it ever since so I'm really pleased to see a full size pot in there. This product contains Shea butter, vitamins and it aims to brighten, smooth and even out skin tone ready for make up application. Which i must agree it does do! I've found the days I've used this it's left my skin very dewy and 'fresh' looking and as far as i can see it does exactly what it says on the box. The only downside to this product for me is the scent. It has a zest of lemon, orange, lime and Mandarin which is a little too acidic for my liking. I prefer my moisturisers to be neutral or more sweet.

''SOFTLY SOFTLY'' HAND & NAIL CREAM 40ML
A very rich and moisturising hand lotion which leaves your hands feeling very soft and nourished, it's lot like the facebase with its consistency. A perfect size to carry in your handbag or if you're travelling.

AROMATHERAPY ESSENTIAL BATH & RELAXATION OIL 3ML
I love anything bath related and i'm always happy to try new lotions, oils and bars so i was really looking forward to trying this oil out in my bath the other night. It has a lovely scent, not as strong as the others with a relaxing hint of lavender. I just wish there was more of this product, i just don't think 3ml is enough as i really do like it a lot!

Overall i think this box is lovely, it's feminine and perfect for a pamper night. It's a perfect gift too whether it's for Valentines, a birthday or Mothers day, I'd imagine a lot of ladies would be very happy to receive this as a gift.
However, i don't know if this box is worth the full £29.99 as that's an awful lot for what you get. Considering you get 3 full sized products, 3 smaller ones and a candle. But, this is named the 'Indulgence' collection and sometimes that's just what you need to do!

WHAT I WORE

Lookbook | Chictopia
Dress (as a top): Motel* | Skirt: New Look
Sunglasses: Vivienne Westwood | Shoes: eBay

So it's pretty obvious I didn't actually wear this outfit out today, it's a little to glam~ for day wear. I've had this dress for a couple of months now, and because I'm curvy I find the dress to look a little too short on me, even with tights. So it's been hanging in my wardrobe waiting for me to figure something out, which I did when I saw this polka dot skirt. Sometimes I find outfit pictures are the best way to see how an outfit looks rather than being stood in the mirror for hours on end. I would never of thought to put these both together, but I think it actually works! You might think I look ridiculous, but I think wearing something 'out of your comfort zone' can be really good for your confidence and I will certainly try and wear it for a night out!

I haven't got much planned this week, if money was no object i'd be on my way to London for the ZOMGbloggersbash tonight, which think the whole of the blogging world will be attending. But I am very excited to say i'll be in London this weekend staying with Lily, hitting up IMATS and probably eating and drinking our weight in Nandos, tea and vodka. I've not seen her since August, so i'm sure lots of loltastic fun will be had!

I can't believe how quickly January has flown by. It's usually my least favourite month as it seems to drag, but here we are on the second to last day and one step closer to blazing sunshine (I hope) seeing this today made me want to cry a little bit inside! I hate the cold, more than anything so i'm thankful these months are speeding past!

Oh and just before I go, some of you may already know, some may not, but I do have two butterflies tattooed on my back. I do have a reason, it wasn't just a random thing I did when I was 17 but there's never been a chance to show you guys. The one on the left isn't fading or smaller than the other, it's just the light/angle. It's quite funny seeing them in photo form as I do often forget I have them as I never see them, so it's nice to have an updated photo!

I hope you all have a lovely week whatever you've got planned!

I'M LOVING... BLOCK COLOURED SHOES

I’m totally drawn to colour like a moth is to light at the moment, I don’t know If it’s because we’re coming to the end of January and we’re one step closer to spring/summer, but I seriously cannot get enough of colour. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know I’m a big fan of block colour. You can see examples of that here, here and most recently here. I don’t however own any block coloured shoes, something which I want to change for next season. I literally love every single pair of these shoes, they just scream summer to me and it makes me wish for the sun even more than usual! Think shorts, vest tops and coloured wedges and you’ll have the best summer outfit going.

Do you like these shoes? Or are they a little over the top for you?

PRODUCT REVIEW - WIRED JEWELLERY

I first heard about Wired Jewellery when Faye (who owns it) started following me on Instagram and i instantly fell in love one of the bracelets she had photographed. I'd been book marking a few pages for birthday present ideas this year when a very lovely email popped in my inbox asking if she could send some items for me to feature. Usually when I'm sent something i just feature it in an outfit picture and don't always give it a whole separate post, but when these beautiful pieces popped through my letterbox on Saturday morning i was so over the moon with what Faye had picked, knew i had to do a post just about them.

''This rough-cut wonder in its natural, unpolished form is simply beautiful. Each bracelet is made using a Rose Quartz crystal and sterling silver. These bracelets were designed to be worn tight, so the stone sits in one place''

I don't like to feel like I'm wearing jewellery so because this bracelet is so light weight it gets a big thumbs up from me! I got this in a size M which is a lovely fit and i do have fairly small wrists.

''This colours of this kaleidoscope like ring are so appealing, there’s something new from every angle. They bond quartz with titanium and niobium to create the unusual colours and it is then set in sterling silver to create this beautiful statement piece.''

I'd say this ring about 2cms which is a lovely little size and again very light weight. I've been wearing this ring every day since i received it and it's nice to look down and remember it's there and see the pretty colours!

''Taking inspiration from all things Navajo at the moment and just loving triangles. This large triangle ring can be worn inverted for a completely different vibe. Lovingly handmade from a large solid brass triangle and a silver plated fully adjustable ring, a perfect statement piece''

Triangles have been doing the rounds in the blogging world for months now so I'm going to guess this ring is going to be very popular. Light weight again but with a bigger size of about 4cms for each side. Love the statement look of it!

I really LOVE every single piece and i love the fact they're all so unique. It makes a nice chance to see an online jewellery shop which has totally different stock from what you usually see. I can't rate the quality of products enough, they are just amazing. I'd say they were total value for money and it's always nice knowing they're handmade!

EVENTS - NEW CID COSMETICS

Last Thursday i was very kindly invited to attend the New Cid cosmetics event just off Oxford street in London. I first met up with Louise and after a mooch around some shops and a quick drink it was time to pop along to the event. I really like their range of costmetics and i've featured them twice before (here and here) so i was really excited to see the new range. We were very looked after and it was fun to look around the place!

(Louise & Myself)

We were given a talk by the founder Kelly Coleman and the thoughts behind the new products such foundations, lipsticks/nail polishes with LCD lights (like the lip glosses) and the one I'm most excited about, the mousse eye shadows.

I really like events when they're personal with a small number of people there. There's nothing worse than being somewhere over crowed where you can't chat to people and can't get a real idea of the products you've been invited to see. But i was very happy to see there were less than 20 of us there and after getting split in to 3 groups you got to see each section (face, nails and lips) really well and it was so interesting to see the new collection. We were treated to a make up lesson, having nails painted and trying out the liners and lipsticks from the MUAs which was lovely. It's always nice to try out the products first hand to get a real idea of it.

It was a very flying visit, i got in to London around 3pm and left at 8pm but it was a really nice evening and the 5 hours travelling down from Leeds was so worth it. After the event myself, Louise and Catherine had a mad dash to Nandos before our separate trains home and it was really nice to have a catch up!

We received very generous goody bags which I'm so excited to try out and give you guys a review in the next few weeks so if you're interested keep en eye out!

Thanks again New Cid for the chance to see the new collection and get to know more about the brand!
