MUA - £3 / Liz Earle - £19.50
I recently got sent two bronzers to try out, one from MUA (i'm waring this one in the pic) and the other from Liz Earle. I thought I'd do a side by side comparison considering they're both two ends of a typical price range and are both completely different in all aspects.
Bronzed perfection from MUA is more of a matte bronzer with a subtle hint of shimmer. It's very creamy which makes it very easy to blend and you certainly don't need a lot on your brush, a little will go a long way. This product is amazing value for money, you get an generous amount for just £3. I would say this bronzer is quite long lasting, but i've found it can drop a few shades or two of colour throughout the day but certainly still noticeable and i personally don't find it an issue. It's quite large in size, which doesn't make it easy to carry around so i would like to see a smaller version of this in the future.
Natural Glow Bronzer from Liz Earle is exactly that, it gives a natural glow. It's very light and quite powdery, i had to swatch it a couple of times to get it to build up which can be a bonus or an annoyance. It's very shimmery with lots of pink and gold pigments coming through. I personally think this bronzer would look incredible if you've got a tan, it's the perfect formula for highlighting the cheeks and it's long lasting. I love the sleek packaging, it's a perfect handbag size and a massive bonus of having a mirror.
Both of these brozners are completely different, so i wouldn't recommend one over the other as everyones skin is different. But if this is about value for money, MUA wins. Although the one from Liz Earle is nice, i don't think it's quite worth the price tag.
The mua one looks lovely, def want to try it! x
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to try Liz Earle for some time, but when the quality of MUA is available for a fraction of the price I think it's an easy choice! Even the £1 lipsticks in MUA are decent enough for the price so if I werent too pale for bronzer I'd definitely try this! Unfortunately I'm so pale I'm translucent so no luck for me haha!

As far as shades go I think I prefer the one from Liz Earle but how can you miss the MUA one when you see that price? I'm not a bronzer girl but I want to finally get out of my comfort zone and try some.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice ends of the spectrum for bronzers. I'm actually looking for a new one. I was also considering trying out the Smashbox Bronze Lights Bronzer, have to admit I've always loved the No7 Bronzers especially the limited edition ones - they always seem the best!x
ReplyDeleteHeard a lot about the MUA bronzer, going to have to indulge :)

I love MUA, don't think I'd ever splash out on a more expensive bronzer or blusher because theirs are so good!

I'm definitely going to try out the MUA one, I can justify the cheap price tag but possibly not the Liz Earle one haha! xx
ReplyDeleteGreta review, i want to try the Liz Earle one, but the price tag is a little TOO hefty for me!

I think with things like this, blushers and bronzers, it doesn't matter what price you go for, they all perform the same! For example the eBay blush palette - amazing pigmentation and SO cheap! I'd never splash out on a high end cheek product, personally. Though I wouldn't mind trying one out! :P
