DAY TRIP - NEWARK

On Saturday we took a little trip to Newark for the day. It's not that far from my home, but it was far enough to feel like we were going somewhere but still local. I haven't really ever been around Newark, despite it being so close and I'm not really sure why as it's a lovely little town. It very much reminds me of York which is one of my all time favourite places. I just love all the old building with cobbled streets, anywhere that oozes history i'm a big fan of. We walked around the town, visited the castle and then had lunch at a tea room next to the canal. It was a lovely few hours out in the sunshine and i'd certainly love to visit again!

It looks like you had a great day, despite the ominous looking clouds?! I do like how we don't let the weather in the UK stop us from going on our day trips ;D xx

  17. Lovely photos! I have to say I haven't been to Newark many times, which is odd to say I'm from Nottingham! I think I might have to take a little trip sometime this summer.
