These are the trousers i got a couple of weeks ago. I'm still really undecided about them. They are so comfy, but i don't think I'd actually feel comfortable wearing them out. I wanted to take some pictures just to get a propa look and feel before deciding what to do. They were £21, and that's quite a lot just for lounging around considering i have a box full of 'comfy' stuff. So I'll probably return them for store credit or something. Im NOT keeping them.

So i know i said this week i would try to get some uni work done, well that's not happened in the slightest. I was going to try and get some done this afternoon, but me and Matt ended up going in to town. He wanted to get some me some Lush for Christmas. I won't tell you about them now, I'll save everything for a pressie post sometime next week. I also wanted to get myself some Barry M red glitter polish to get in with the theme this week. But unfortunately, everywhere was sold out. Clearly everyone had the same idea as me.

If you're following the news, you'll know that yesterday East Coast trains had an overhead line fall, which ended up with every train from London to Edinburgh being cancelled. This has also had a knock on effect for today, and tomorrow. Meaning our train has been cancelled. Luckily, after a slight breakdown we managed to sort it out and we're getting a slightly earlier train tomorrow afternoon. I've wrapped all presents, all we've got to do now is pack. Then we're homeward bound. Providing nothing else goes wrong!

My giveaway ended on Sunday, thank you to everyone who entered. There were 403 entries all together, which is totally amazing! I'm pleased to announce that the winner is Georgie from styleprincessdiaries! I had each entry in a spreadsheet so it was easy to keep track of and i used Random.org to get the winner
So congratulations! Expect an email from me shortly. Thanks again everyone!

I've got a couple of posts lined up for this week, so even though im going home i'll still be blogging away. I've also decided to start updating my Tumblr. It's not going to be a blog as such, more a collection of things i love! <3

  3. Please please don't take this the wrong way - but I'm not so sure those trousers suit you. I think they make you look bigger than you actually are, and more fitted things look great on you. Just my opinion though, and they may look different in real life.
I hope you manage to get your train tomorrow!

  4. I've been looking at some similar trousers- they're not as casual though- I'm just not sure how to wear them, so need to get some ideas before I buy them. I'm really bad with buying clothes, and I never try anything on- I either like it or I don't, and then I get it home & decide I look crap and have no idea how to wear it!
I have my fingers tightly crossed for you to get home mrs, I'm sure you'll make it :) Then xmas can truly begin for you
    Love you hair like this

  5. I'm not sure about the trousers, I'm not a big fan of drawstring waists on anything that isn't sweat pants! I do however love your hair in a side ponytail, really suits you!

I hope you get home for Christmas, travelling is so chaotic everywhere lately, so glad I'm home already! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

  6. I got a pair of trousers like these from Tesco and did a return a few days later, like you I just wasn't 100% convinced. I'm a Size 12-14 and honestly I think they're much more flattering on a smaller frame xx

  9. Your hair looks great here!

I managed to get hold of the Barry M red glitter...it's not all it's cracked up to be. Doesn't really show up as an all-over coat for the nail but was good for doing festive tips a la Kim @ Sweet Monday

  11. see, i think they look good!? but then, i love a trouser. i'm all for the peg leg/tailored-effect-but-actually-jersey-type thing. if you don't feel comfortable then you'll never wear them though right? I got some similar ones from topshop - kind of, high waisted, nude coloured, chino-style hareems. sounds hideous doesn't it?
hope you get home ok!! my boyf travelled back up from mine on east coast the day before that all happened... otherwise, i'm sure he'd have been here for xmas!! sure you'll be fine :)

  14. Oooh if you do decide to keep them, I'd wear them higher up on the waist with a tight sheer shirt, or any tight top to balance them out. I love trousers like that, are they tapered? Hope travelling goes well hunny bun! :) Merry Xmas, love ya xxx

  15. I frequent my comfy clothes part of our wardrobe much more than my nice stuff thats hanging up. I meant to say, I bought a black and white playsuit from UO to wear on christmas day. I dont want to look like a penguin in a tux... d'yu think I should just wear black tights with it? dont know how else to add a splash of colour to it, or if I even should! :( pic of it is on my last blog post lovely, would really appreciate it if you could give me some of your wisdom <3

Hope you get home for christmas stress free girlie! Let us know when yer home safe :) muchos love xx

  20. I personally love the trousers but if you don't feel comfortable in them then it's probs best you take them back. I have a pair of jersey harem's and although they're the comfiest things since joggers I would never wear them out because I just don't feel as though they suit me.

Hope you managed to get home for Christmas safe and sound! xo
