A DAY WITH IVER ACADAMY - KIM KARDASHIAN MAKE OVER

I really do get to do some pretty amazing things thanks to my blog, but working Monday - Friday often means I have to decline quite a lot too. Last month I received a really exciting email inviting me to experience a day at Iver Make Up Acadmy, which is a professional hair and make-up studio based at the legendary Pinewood Studios. How exciting? The best thing was it was on a Saturday too meaning I could attend without having to take a days holiday...

I caught an early train from Nottingham down to London and made my way across town to the academy. The Iver Academy offers hair and make-up courses to students who want to learn alongside the best tutors in the film, TV and theatre business. I was invited to choose a make-up look of my choice and decided to go for Kim Kardashian, her make up is always flawless. All of the tutors at The Iver Academy have taught at the renowned Greasepaint make-up school, and have over twenty years of experience working with world-class actors such as Daniel Craig, Penelope Cruz, Meryl Streep & Dame Judi Dench and also working on production sets including Game of Thrones, Avengers and Pirates of the Caribbean. So as you can imagine, I knew I was in good hands. My make up artist for the day was Faith and she was just incredibly lovely, she talked me through everything she was doing and taught me how to contour the Kim K way! As I was going to a wedding that night, I wanted a hair style that was quite wedding(y) and after finding something similar on Pinterest I asked Faith to create something similar and i couldn't have been happier with the results. (Please note I have had my shocking looking hair coloured since this!) After a couple of hours the transformation was complete. I honesty had the most amazing day and it was so nice to have my hair and make up done by a true professional. I left feeling like a million $ and the look was exactly what I wanted. I'd so have Faith as my make up artist if i ever got married, she just seemed to understand what i wanted so well and made you feel like the only person in the room.
