At the start of the month i traveled to Marrakesh, Morocco, with my Dad for 5 days. He'd been a couple of years before and had always wanted to take me as he knew i'd love it, and he was right! We decided to stay in a Riad and experience staying right in the heart of the city. There are hundreds of Riads hidden away and they just look like any ordinary building from the front but as soon as you step inside you're in a whole other world. Prior to our trip we did a lot of research and decided that as we were going in June with temperatures getting up to the high 30s we wanted a pool, you do obviously pay a bit more for this and there are plenty of Riads that don't have one but certainly couldn't have lived without it! We were about a 20 min walk away from the main square which wasn't a problem as it was fun to walk through the hustle and bustle, although on some occasions where it was really hot we did get a taxi which was only about £2.
Riad Clemetine was the one we decided to stay at during our trip and it was simply perfect. With only 8 rooms it has a very chilled out and relaxed atmosphere and the place is pretty much yours. The staff were incredibly helpful and would literally do anything for you, even the tiny little things of folding your towel whilst you're in the pool or making my PJs in to shapes on the bed. It really was the little things that made the place what it is! We had breakfast every day and lunch a couple of times. You can have your dinner there too in the evenings but we always decided to go out for that. I think we paid just under £100 a night, which really was worth every penny. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Marrakesh then i wholeheartedly recommend Riad Clementine. But don't just trust my judgment, have a look and see what the other 234 people have said!
I'll have another Marakesh post up next week with how we spent the days!
Wow this looks absolutely incredible, I have always wanted to go to Morocco and staying in a Riad would be a dream come true. You must have had the most amazing time!!
This looks amazing. I'm going to Marrakech in a few months and soo can't wait. I'm not staying in a Riad though, Riu haha not quite the same but for the price, I may have a cheeky spa night in one. :)

Ugh this looks gorgeous ! Every time I go to Marrakech I stay at my family's homes so I've never had the chance to sleep in a Riad...yet. Maybe if I'm coming to Essaouira, I'll have a good excuse :) I hope there are more Morocco posts coming <3
