RUSH HAIR NOTTINGHAM

You’ve probably heard of Rush Hair & Beauty, they do have 70 salons nationwide after all! Back in October a new one opened right in the heart of my home city, Nottingham and two weeks ago I popped in to give their cut and blow dry a go...

Situated right on Head Row, just off the Market Square, it’s location is perfect if you’re planning on making a day of it in the city. Their opening hours are great too, 9am to either 8pm or 9pm mid week and then 9-6:30pm Saturday and 11am – 6pm Sunday. Perfect for those who work 9-5 or those who can only get in on weekends, like myself. I had a Sunday appointment and it was perfect, there’s something more relaxing and quieter about Sundays isn’t there? The salon it’s self is really nice and modern, it looks to be quite small when you first walk in but there’s actually an upstairs area too which is massive. It was really great to see them stock a wide range of hair products too, including one of my favourites Kérastase.

I arrived a little early, it was freezing outside and I could no longer feel my fingers. I was welcomed warmly and offered a cup of tea and some magazines whilst my stylist Craig finished up with a client. After getting sucked in to a glossy column for ten minutes, Craig came over to chat about what I wanted. He was really friendly and listened intently which was really nice, although I was only in there for a trim and a blow dry, it was like I was having a full blown make over. He also did everything himself, no junior stylists who washed your hair and then send you back to the more senior of stylists; he was with me from start to finish.

After washing, I had a hair mask treatment which was seriously needed!  He then cut the absolute minimum off (very protective of my hair) and then dried my hair and clipped it in to curls which he then went over with an curling iron. He then applied some styling products to keep my hair in place. He left me feeling like an absolute princess and I was so happy with the results, it just looked so natural. It ended up lasting all week as well which I was super impressed with! I wish every Sunday could start with a blow dry! A big thank you to Rebecca who kindly snapped a couple of photos for me.

I had such a lovely couple of hours here and it'll certainly be going back soon. Just a heads up, they have an offer on at the moment that if you’re a new client you can get 50% off when booking online.
