A SIMPLY BE Q&A WITH THE BRIDE TO BE!

I might have spoken about this a couple of times (ok, quite a few actually) but it’s been a while since I last mentioned the fact my best gal pal Lauren is getting married next year to her absolute dream boat of a fiancée Jordan, and as I’m all loved up with Christmas cheer, I thought it would be really nice to ask her a few questions about how everything’s all going, as if we need any excuse! So we grabbed a cuppa and dedicated some more time to the Hughes wedding...

How did you meet and how did he propose?
We met through Jordan's sister who introduced us on a night out 7 years ago! Jordan proposed on a beach in St.Lucia in May 2016, I wasn’t excepting it all so it was quite emotional. I love being a fiancée!

How have you found the wedding planning process?
Very exciting! I have become a little wedding obsessed actually. Pinning on Pinterest takes up a lot of my time at the moment. I can’t stop lusting over all things wedding!

What/who helped during the planning process? Has your groom been involved with the planning?
My mum has been amazing and also my two bridesmaids Victoria and Abby. Jordan so far has sorted the entertainment and booked a singer, we’ve been to see him a couple of times and he’s great, we think everyone will like him. Smiley face

Have you started dress shopping yet? What sort of thing do you have in mind?
I start wedding dress shopping in January with my girls as my wedding is in October, there’s so many out there but I’m thinking about something lacy with sleeves. Similar to the one above actually. ^ (but obviously not in that colour.)

What’s your colour scheme?
We are going for pale, blush pinks with little rose gold.

What are the bridesmaids wearing?
I’m letting the girls pick their own dresses as I want them to feel comfortable on the day, but luckily we all have very similar style. We’re all thinking something like this one here >

What advice would you give other brides currently planning their wedding?
Go with your gut feeling on big decisions, I didn’t do this and thought I’d missed out on getting the photographer I really wanted (it’s all sorted now) and of course enjoy every minute! Smiley face

Do you have any DIY elements to your big day?
We are going to attempt to make a flower arch. If anyone has an tips please let me know.

What are you looking forward to on your wedding day?
Everything! Wearing my wedding dress, walking down the aisle becoming a Mrs and of course the party!

What are your Honeymoon Plans?
As we love our beach holidays we are looking at Mauritius followed by a couple of days in Dubai. I’m so excited! This floral dress will be perfect for it!

Thank you Lauren! Roll on hen do #1!
