BRAND SPOTLIGHT - SWEATY BETTY

I must admit work out gear isn't anything I've ever thought twice about, cute tops and patterned leggings will get a glance over in the shop but that'll be it. But oh how times have changed! Instead of lusting after the latest £60 dress, I find myself browsing websites for running shorts, sports bras and the best headband for keeping sweat from pouring down my face (lovely image huh?!) and Sweaty Betty is one of those sites.

There's no elegant way to write this (I've tried to type this four times now) but here goes, ok, so I have a fairly decent size chest, 34 e to be exact. So I know how important it is to keep yourself supported when it comes to working out. I've noticed this more than ever now I’m racking in some serious running miles a week and to be honest, my fairly basic one isn't cutting it any more so the Victory Run Bra has caught my eye, with it's padding, mesh panels for breathing and made from quick drying fabric this is the perfect bra for sticky summer days. Back to the image of sweat down my face (sorry!) a decent headband is another item I’ve found myself needing to update. As well as running, I’ve been doing the 30 day shred. Now if you've done this, you'll know how sweaty level 2 is. I mean, it's actually insane. So rocking a decent headband is a necessity, here's the Anna headband available for £10.

Although cardio is crucial to shifting weight effectively and quickly, I want to gain strength and tone up too. Yoga is something I’ve considered for a long time now and it's something I’ve started to seriously look in to. There's plenty of videos on youtube to follow which are brilliant, in fact you can follow a 'how to' youtube video for pretty much anything now! But obviously, I need to get the right equipment first before I start getting myself in to some questionable shapes, starting with the Eco Yoga Mat which comes in 3 colours, I love the purple one!

I love the selection of work out items available at Sweaty Betty and it really does keep me motivated with my fitness journey! I'll be doing a series about what I'm doing, food, work outs, progress etc. so come back if you're looking for some inspiration!

  1. They have wonderful soft capris that are so lovely to wear for pilates and yoga. I'd love to buy everything they have, but they are quite expensive with their stuff... :o/ Xx

  3. I havent really invested in much workout gear really. I have two different running trousers which I wear and then just grab any old t-shirt to throw on with them.
I do think having some nice workout clothes motivates you more though! So perhaps I should get some new bits in!
