HAIR INSPIRATION

Up until 3 years ago i'd never dyed my hair, it was 100% natural. Then the Ombre trend came along (although i was late to that party) and i finally changed my hair. I loved my ombre but there came a time towards the end of the summer last year where i felt like i needed a drastic change, and i went red. However 7 months later i feel like red isn't me anymore, and as i'm once again starting a new chapter in my life i feel i need a hair colour to co inside with this! So this is where i'm at. I'm seriously thinking about going a dark blondey ashy colour, i know i can't go too light because of my dark eyes and eyebrows but i think an ombre inspired, dirty blonde could work! It's something i've never done before and i feel like if i don't do it now i never will! I have to go back to being brunette first, which will be strange as i've not been full brunette in years! But i'm excited to go back to my roots! I'm keeping the length though, one step at a time!

I'd love to hear your suggestions on what i should do with my hair, so please feel free to leave me a comment!

  1. I've wanted dark blonde hair for so long now, I'm just worried it may damage my hair more than it is already :( x

  2. You don't have the picture up...but Lily Aldridge (I think thats her name) Victoria Secret Model, has similar colouring to you....I would look at her hair for inspiration...like Catherine mentions above...blonde can be really damaging on the hair and I know from experience...if you go blonde you'll lose your length....thats a certain!

  7. I've actually had the same two previous hair colours as you (ombre, and then red), and have been toying with the idea of trying out an ashy-blonde for ages, but I just wouldn't even know where to start! I think the kind of colour you're looking at would really suit you, though xx

  8. i'm in the exact same predicament. Alot of people seem to be going lighter and after seeing how amazing the change can be for some, i'm desperate to try it for myself too! But i'm super pale so I will have to stay darker blonde. I tried to lighten it with a box dye (kinda knew it wouldn't work to begin with) and it's now an awkward auburn. Hope you go for it and love it! :) xxx

  9. Hair colour change is always good! :)
Agree that a too light colour wouldn't be best, but can deffo see you a dark blonde.. go for it! :)
I'm currently into 3 months of not dying my hair (it has been dyed monthly for the last 17 years!), my natural colour is showing and seems to be mousey, so I'm happy with that. :)

  15. You know, I have been considering doing this myself. Literally all I can think about, but so worried that I'll hate it or seriously damage my hair. Let me know what you decide and what the process is like. Genuinely want to do it but it'll probably take me a good few months to save up for it first anyway! xx

  18. I'm definitely considering going "bronde" (I didn't even know that was a thing until I flicked through Look magazine earlier as bright blonde is just too hard to maintain. I love your hair now though but it would be really interesting to see how this works on you :)
