DEBENHAMS A/W 2012 PRESS DAY

Last Wednesday i headed down to London on another ridiculously warm day with Gemma to attend the Debenhams A/W press day. It was held in the same place as the Look Show last February so it was great being back there again. It's a really large space so there was lots of room for all the fashion, beauty and home items and it was all beautifully layed out. As Debenhams is home to so many designers/brands it would be impossible for me to talk about every single one and this post is already pretty long with all the photos so I'm going to let them do the talking!

I was really excited to see the beauty department and it didn't let us down, it was interesting to learn about new releases and which products would soon be taking the beauty world by storm (i have a shopping list as long as my arm). They also had a little area where you could get treatments done (painted nails from New Cid, a full face of make up from Bare Minerals and then lash extensions &eyebrow threading from WOWlashes) which of course was quite busy, but not an unbearable waiting time. Myself and Gemma decided to get some eyelash extensions which was a weird experience. I must admit i wasn't really impressed and didn't really like the style i had and to be honest i had nothing but hassle with them ever since. They're all out now and I've lost so many of my natural lashes which I'm not very happy about. I don't know if they were rushed being applied because they were busy, but it has really put me off having them done again.

I had a lovely day catching up and meeting fellow bloggers and it's always fab spending time with Gemma. Dinner was eaten in Bryon Burger (thanks iPhone maps) and a quick walk down (a very patriotic) Oxford Street was the perfect way to end the day!

  1. I've heard so many horror stories about eye lash extensions, definitely won't be getting mine done. I love those cushions, gorgeous looking collection of stuff.

  5. I got eyelash extensions for my wedding 2 months ago and I never would again! They were so uncomfortable and I had a very painful hour trying to get them off on my honeymoon! I still have a gap in my natural lashes! X
