As soon as i saw these photos of myself i instantly thought that i looked strangely like a prirate... think Captain Jack Sparrow!
Having said that, i do actually like this outfit. I'm wearing one of my latest purchases from Primark, the blouse is so lovely and feels amazing. I really don't think it screams Primark either. New Look have one similar. I'm totally loving turbans right now, and as soon as saw these velvet ones i knew i had to have one. Trying to choose a colour was so difficult, and i still want all of them! It's going to get some serious wear over the next few months.
Myself and Matt ended up going to the pub last night for food and drinks with some friends. One had her friends coming over from Ireland for the weekend so that was really nice. I ended up bumping in to one of the girls i lived with last year, which wasn't exactly fantastic, we ended up chatting for a while though. I've not seen any of them since July, so i guess it was inevitable to happen soon enough. Myself and Matt then walked to another pub to see the two guys i lived with in first year, we've all not been together in MONTHS so it was amazing to see them again! I really do miss them a lot. I finally got to meet one of the guys American girlfriend. She seems lovely, but she really didn't get our sense of humour which i think caused some problems later on but I'm not going to go in to that now. We ended up getting home before midnight, it really was my perfect kinda night.
I really wanted to go in to uni yesterday, but i had to stay in for some post. Which never actually turned up, and it's still not here now! I wanted to put together the trouser block I'd been working on (a block is the pattern of the garment you're working on, it is the exact measurements to make up a garment, it's all drawn up on paper, then you trace around it on rough fabric and stitch it all together to see what it's like before you use your real fabric. You can make changes on the paper copy) but I'm going in on Monday to do that. The trouser block I've been working on will make 3 of my garments so I'm really pleased with that. I'm hoping to get all my patterns drawn and made up by the end of the month. I have 8 in total. I'm only in uni for afternoon sessions this week, so no early mornings for me!
I've been seriously thinking about dying my hair this colour. I know someone who could do it for me, and it wouldn't really cost much. I've wanted it for years but I'm just so overprotective of my hair i just don't know if i have the guts to do it. But i only live once right, and there's plenty of brown hair dye out there! I really will have a good think and decide either way.
Matts gone out this afternoon so I'm thinking about starting my Sex And The City box set again and doing some of my dissertation, well, start it. Matts cooking again tonight, we enjoyed the curry so much last week we're having it again! Yay!
Enjoy your weekend everyone! <3
Lovely outfit! I think you should just go ahead and dye your hair. I was a bit iffy about doing mine because I liked the condition it was in etc, but I really don't regret doing it x
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! I saw this blouse the other day and I agree it's great quality and doesn't look like primark. You've styled it up really nice :)
ReplyDeleteI also love that Turban! I've ordered the black one myself and I can't wait for it to arrive. I wrote a blog post a week or so ago about turbans, if you get a chance check it out! xx
I got this blouse a couple weeks ago too but haven't worn/photographed it yet. Totally loving black and white combos lately! AND YES GINGERRRR! I loved having ginger hair and still miss it. It's so hard to get rid of the red though in case you don't like it! To be honest though your hair is so long that it won't matter if you have to cut off the ends :) good luck! x
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! I love deep red colours. Go for it with the hair, change is good. I had bright red hair and when I wanted to change it back I let it fade so much my hairdresser didn't need to strip it out and she managed to dye right on top of it :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy SATC and curry, my perfect day nom nom.
PS I wish you were Capt'n Jack Sparroooow oof xxx
You should just go for it with your hair, I think it'd suit you and it's a lovely shade for Spring, if it gets here!
ReplyDeleteOh enjoy curry and sex& the city, I'm tempted to go through my boxset again but I'm trying to finish reading my book today!
Jess xx
you should definitely dye your hair ginger! i've wanted it for years too but haven't plucked up the courage. i honestly think it'd look beautiful on you xo

ReplyDeleteThat blouse doesn't look Primark at all, I might get one to tuck into my black skirt for work, it looks lovely.
As for your hair, go for it!! I always want to do something with mine and I don't I'm so reluctant.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend
xx
This is a really cool outfit, i have that blouse from primark too and i live in it! Love the velvet turban as well, i really really want one! And as a Red head myself i think it would be such a cool colour on you!x
ReplyDeleteThe hair colour is lovely, though personally I'm really afraid of dying my hair, especially if the colour is lighter than my natural colour.
ReplyDeleteI'm dyeing my hair that colour soon, its so gorgeous. I think it will really suit you! You can always dye it back xx
ReplyDeleteThis blouse is lovely, and i must say you do look stunning! I can see why you think you look a tad like a pirate, but a very stylish pirate at that, and it works!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice evening with some old friends, and enjoy your meal with matt tonight, :) xx
Looking gorgeous as ever, Victoria! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the turban the burgundy colour really suits you! And wow that hair colour would definitely be a massive change, but like you said you only live once and if worse coms to worse you could always dye it back. I reckon it would suit you. Yay for SATC, hope your having a good weekend :) x
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had some good times lately. You look lovely in your turban (: The uni work sounds promising too. I love being a ginger/redhead so I def think it's a possibility. Just give it lots of thought!

ReplyDeleteaww im glad you had a nice time with your fella on fri :) love when a night pans out like that. but not so good when there is miscommunication when it comes to humour, grr! and high five for ginger hair! I'm naturally very ginger... shhh though ;) you have so much hair, that would take a whole lotta dye! xx
