This picture highlights perfectly my major body hang up - my boobs! I actually hate how big they are, and how i find it difficult to wear high waisted stuff. Hella annoying, cos i do actually have a small waist. Just a big chest and hips! But anyway, this skirt is amazing and so on trend right now. I haven't just bought it, it's actually an old school skirt with 11-12 years on the label! Proving again the fact I'm a massive hauder and you never know when you might need something!
Yesterday was my first day back at uni, and it was totally pointless. The only good thing that happened is i found out that I'm not actually that behind, and that i have longer to do my collection designs. Which is good because I've been major stressing, I'm so glad i can dedicate a few days to getting my mind sorted about what i want to make. My tutor is from Australia originally and she's going out there for a month because her dads not very well. Obviously i feel for her, and it's really sad to hear but for all of us it couldn't come at a worst time. I know you can't help these things, and i wouldn't wish it on anyone. But it's such a busy time with this being our final year. Kinda just adds to the stress of everything!
Today has been a very exciting day for myself and Matt (actually it's more me but that's cos boys don't care about stuff like this) because we've found somewhere to live when the contract ends for this place! We thought we'd first go with the people we're with now, because it means not having to pay another deposit and they've been pretty good to us so far. We didn't actually expect to find anywhere today, and at first we saw some pretty awful places. But we saw this massive house, which has been converted in to flats and we just fell in love straight away. It's cosy without being too cramped and it's at the lower end of our price range! We signed for it straight away, so come the 1st July we'll be moving! For the fourth time in 4 years. I wish i could show you, but there doesn't seem to be pics online! But it's very pretty, old but modern. It also means Matts really close to his uni, and it won't be so bad travelling when i finally get a job. Thanks for all your happy tweets.
Thank you to everyone who has voted for me for the Elle intern competition! I have no idea why it's saying 0 votes still. I really hope it doesn't effect anything! The voting is still open for a few more days so if you like what I've written please vote! You're all massive stars and I'm very thankful! I know about the stupid spelling mistakes, there is a reason but i won't bore you with it. I hope you can look past it, unlike some lovely person who 'refused' to vote because of it.
Tomorrow night we're off to the cinema with some friends. I've been a bit undecided about seeing Black Swan because i get freaked out really easily. But it's supposed to be beautifully made, so for that I'm pretty excited for it! We'll probably go for some drinks after which will be really nice. Not seen a certain friend for months so I'm looking forward to that.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
I really want to see black swan, so youll have to let us know what its like! SO glad for yu to find a flat. Im not really too sure if/when i should start looking. Me and joe don;t even know where we're going. How annoying. Lovely photos too. :) x
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's an old school skirt! Proves you should never throw things away, never know when they'll come in useful, perfect Grandma saying. Seriously so so jealous of your hair!
ReplyDeleteHey vic!
ReplyDeleteI have the exact same problem, little waist and huge boobies! Feel so restricted in what I can wear and Im not a fan of cleavage at all!
Massive congrats on the flat :)hope you guys wil be very happy there.Good luck with the Elle internship thing, how amazing would that be! And i think you should go see black swan...take a teddy bear u can hide behind when it gets too intense! I think seeing natalie portman losing her rag with be worth it!
Looking lovely and kudos on that skirt, bet ur glad u kept that! xxx
Congrats in finding somewhere to live. And you have a stunning figure, absolutly perfect . Love your tiny waist - that skirt was made for you !
ReplyDeletehaha i was just talking about how i still wear a size 13-14 vest from Tammy girl!
great colours! and your hair looks really nice aswell.
ReplyDeleteim lacking in the boob department so maybe you could give me some of yours and we'll find a happy medium? haha, if only! congratulations on finding somewhere to live and good luck with the elle internship! xx
I feel you! I have big boobs, small waist and big hips. But really, it's a blessing not a curse. Hourglass shapes are gorgeous, and high waisted skirts usually enhance that for me. Maybe try not taking the skirt so high up?

Cute outfit! Hopefully your stress dies down a bit, it's such a shame about your tutor :(
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding a place, though! That's amazing and so exciting!
This outfit is so lovely, high waisted stuff looks fab on you :) Congrats on finding a flat, I used to love the initial searching for flats during uni, maybe that's just cause I liked to be nosey round other peoples homes :P

i think the high waisted really suits you :) I have an hourglass figure and I always worry about the top of the high waisted skirt/bottom of my shirt bunching around my waist and making my waist look bigger. Do you know what I mean? If so, do you know how to solve it? :P
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful that you and Matt found a great place to live! I'm really happy for you :)
ReplyDeletei really want to see black swan too! i'm easily freaked out too, so let us know how it is :) xo

yayayay cant wait to see new house, definitely get some pictures! also your legs (and yes i can see a sneaky glance!) look REALLY slim! :) x
ReplyDeleteI think this outfit flatters your figure really well and I like the animal print belt, it's a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding a new place.

The high-waisted fits you really well!! Congrats on finding the new place :) x
ReplyDeleteSuper lovely outfit hun. The orange is lovely, and the style of that skirt is great!
ReplyDeleteOh geez, I HATE my boobs too! Freakin 38 DD, when did this even happen? I was happy with my 34 C's! I hope when I start losing weight they will get smaller.
I'm not sure I really wanna watch black swan, let us know how it is though- and have a good time xx
Aah congrats on the house! Sounds lovely, and I know how difficult it can be to find nice student housing. Such a farce.
ReplyDeleteWould love to hear how Black Swan is- I'm so so tempted to go watch it but also heard it's quite scary...can't decide what to do!

I WANT TO SEE BLACK SWAN!!!! Love the outfit, I have big boobs too and it can be so annoying at times as certain clothes don't look good. But I just think I'd rather have big boobs then no boobs =) Can't believe this is your old school skirt, such a great way to re-use clothing. My school uniform was horrible and recycled long ago so don't think I would have ever used it again.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all your work and congrats on finding somewhere to life, very exciting =)
Hannah xx
Your figure is exactly the same as mine. Small waist, big boobs, big hips! I always tell myself I have the hourglass shape many girls get surgery to achieve! Haha.
ReplyDeleteTotally understand what you mean about the high waists. I find round neck tops are best - vs and scoops are far too low for me and anything above the collarbone takes me into boob-shelf territory!
Congrats on the house! Sounds lovely. We've just been to see our dream place today, hoping and praying it's still available when I call tomorrow. xx
Can you share your boobs with me? Lol! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new house!!!
I really look forward to seeing Black Swan!

Vikki
Absolutely love this outfit of yours, xx
ReplyDeletecongrats on finding somewhere to live! and this skirt is great, really is one you'd keep forever!! black skirts will always be a classic
ReplyDeleteScrapbook de la Emma
You look gorge, I really want a skirt like that at the moment! Will have to raid the school section in Asda or something!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya on the boob front. I practically live in maternity wear (well, baggy clothes) because I hate how they look so THERE. I do love boobs, but sometimes they can make me look so frumpy. I think you dress really well to your body shape though, you always look lovely.
Congrats on finding a new place! It's always such a relief isn't it? Can't wait to see pics!
xo
I have the same problem with my boobs, I hate them! I really wish they were a bit smaller, it really limits what I can wear xx
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's a school skirt - looks fab on you!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck for the Elle comp - I voted for you :) x
Love the outfit choice!!

I have the same problem! I'm a size 10-12 depending on which area I dress, but the boobs mean I have to go up to a size 14 top at times. Ugh. & certain trends just look ridiculous on me. Darn these 34D's, especially because I'm so short.
ReplyDeleteyou are gorgeous my dear!! :] Love the outfit!!
