These are the trousers i got a couple of weeks ago. I'm still really undecided about them. They are so comfy, but i don't think I'd actually feel comfortable wearing them out. I wanted to take some pictures just to get a propa look and feel before deciding what to do. They were £21, and that's quite a lot just for lounging around considering i have a box full of 'comfy' stuff. So I'll probably return them for store credit or something. Im NOT keeping them.
So i know i said this week i would try to get some uni work done, well that's not happened in the slightest. I was going to try and get some done this afternoon, but me and Matt ended up going in to town. He wanted to get some me some Lush for Christmas. I won't tell you about them now, I'll save everything for a pressie post sometime next week. I also wanted to get myself some Barry M red glitter polish to get in with the theme this week. But unfortunately, everywhere was sold out. Clearly everyone had the same idea as me.
If you're following the news, you'll know that yesterday East Coast trains had an overhead line fall, which ended up with every train from London to Edinburgh being cancelled. This has also had a knock on effect for today, and tomorrow. Meaning our train has been cancelled. Luckily, after a slight breakdown we managed to sort it out and we're getting a slightly earlier train tomorrow afternoon. I've wrapped all presents, all we've got to do now is pack. Then we're homeward bound. Providing nothing else goes wrong!
My giveaway ended on Sunday, thank you to everyone who entered. There were 403 entries all together, which is totally amazing! I'm pleased to announce that the winner is Georgie from styleprincessdiaries! I had each entry in a spreadsheet so it was easy to keep track of and i used Random.org to get the winner
So congratulations! Expect an email from me shortly. Thanks again everyone!
I've got a couple of posts lined up for this week, so even though im going home i'll still be blogging away. I've also decided to start updating my Tumblr. It's not going to be a blog as such, more a collection of things i love! <3
I think they suit you, so don't worry :) Eurgh I didn't hear about that but the snow is being a right kill joy atm. Hope it picks up, and well done to the winner! Thanks for holding the giveaway Vic:)

I think they really suit you! they are really nice colour too. Aww it's good that your getting home for christmas tomorrow! oh i really wanted red barry M nail varnish too. very festive
ReplyDeletehope you have a good christmas xxx
Please please don't take this the wrong way - but I'm not so sure those trousers suit you. I think they make you look bigger than you actually are, and more fitted things look great on you. Just my opinion though, and they may look different in real life.
ReplyDeleteI hope you manage to get your train tomorrow!
xxxx
I've been looking at some similar trousers- they're not as casual though- I'm just not sure how to wear them, so need to get some ideas before I buy them. I'm really bad with buying clothes, and I never try anything on- I either like it or I don't, and then I get it home & decide I look crap and have no idea how to wear it!
ReplyDeleteI have my fingers tightly crossed for you to get home mrs, I'm sure you'll make it :) Then xmas can truly begin for you
Love you hair like this
xxx
I'm not sure about the trousers, I'm not a big fan of drawstring waists on anything that isn't sweat pants! I do however love your hair in a side ponytail, really suits you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get home for Christmas, travelling is so chaotic everywhere lately, so glad I'm home already! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Burn the Blonde
I got a pair of trousers like these from Tesco and did a return a few days later, like you I just wasn't 100% convinced. I'm a Size 12-14 and honestly I think they're much more flattering on a smaller frame xx
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't have anymore transport problems sweet and have a lovely Christmas at home (:
ReplyDeleteI find hareem and peg leg trousers really hard to wear, I think they only suit you if your a real skinny minnie! :( xx
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great here!
ReplyDeleteI managed to get hold of the Barry M red glitter...it's not all it's cracked up to be. Doesn't really show up as an all-over coat for the nail but was good for doing festive tips a la Kim @ Sweet Monday

see, i think they look good!? but then, i love a trouser. i'm all for the peg leg/tailored-effect-but-actually-jersey-type thing. if you don't feel comfortable then you'll never wear them though right? I got some similar ones from topshop - kind of, high waisted, nude coloured, chino-style hareems. sounds hideous doesn't it?
ReplyDeletehope you get home ok!! my boyf travelled back up from mine on east coast the day before that all happened... otherwise, i'm sure he'd have been here for xmas!! sure you'll be fine :)

I hope you get home ok. The trousers are cute but if you don't love them then you'll never wear them so taking them back is a good idea. Congrats to the giveaway winner xx

love the pants!
ReplyDeleteYou don't look like you feel comfortable, I don't know maybe it's how you are holding yourself. I hope you get your train, I wanted red glitter polish too, and it had allllll gone :( and raspberry! boooo. lOVE YOU XXX
ReplyDeleteOooh if you do decide to keep them, I'd wear them higher up on the waist with a tight sheer shirt, or any tight top to balance them out. I love trousers like that, are they tapered? Hope travelling goes well hunny bun! :) Merry Xmas, love ya xxx
ReplyDeleteI frequent my comfy clothes part of our wardrobe much more than my nice stuff thats hanging up. I meant to say, I bought a black and white playsuit from UO to wear on christmas day. I dont want to look like a penguin in a tux... d'yu think I should just wear black tights with it? dont know how else to add a splash of colour to it, or if I even should! :( pic of it is on my last blog post lovely, would really appreciate it if you could give me some of your wisdom <3
ReplyDeleteHope you get home for christmas stress free girlie! Let us know when yer home safe :) muchos love xx
wow your hair is stunning here. It looks like you have been on a photoshoot or something! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about those trousers myself, but if you like them then don't worry what anyone else thinks, it's you that has to wear them at the end of the day :)

You look amazing! And I love the festive snowflakes that are making their way down the blog! You're amazing! x
ReplyDeleteI think those pants really suit you!You should keep them!

I personally love the trousers but if you don't feel comfortable in them then it's probs best you take them back. I have a pair of jersey harem's and although they're the comfiest things since joggers I would never wear them out because I just don't feel as though they suit me.
ReplyDeleteHope you managed to get home for Christmas safe and sound! xo
Love your hair like that, hope you got home OK in the end!
ReplyDeleteHappy hols
;)
I love your style, everything you wear suits your shape and skin tone and hair colour so well! xx
